Greeting and Good wishes in the name of D.A.V. School.
With gratitude to God I welcome all the fresher’s to D.A.V. Public School, Dhurwa, Ranchi, Since 1973. The past year also we have achieved a very high academic excellence as usual and have done well in different areas like cultural, yoga, sports athletics etc. the Management, Principal and Staff warmly welcome all of you to the D.A.V. fraternity to be a part of it. I urge all to keep the high traditions and the discipline of the School and help to make this institution a guiding light to all other schools.
Theme of the year
This year’s theme is “integrity is the basis of real success.” – Moral, Spiritual and Ethical.
Curriculum and Courses
The School curriculum is adequately formulated to prepare the students for the CBSE courses conducted by CBSE, Delhi, along with physical education and co-curricular activities.
CBSE Course
The Examination is taken at the end of Std. X and XII and the medium of instruction is English and the 2nd language is Hindi, Sanskrit is offered from Class V to Std. VII as 3rd language. General Knowledge, Moral Science and SUPW are included in the curriculum.
Personality Development Programme
Training programs and competition in public speaking, debating, quizzing, creative writing, dramatics, singing, painting and dancing etc. are given under the supervisions of the teachers. The children are being prepared for competitions like National Science Olympiad (NSO), Cyber Olympiad (NCO), National Science Talent Examination (NSTSE) USO etc. Different houses and clubs are organized to utilize the children’s talents. Karate, Yoga & Skating Classes are arranged for all and each child should pay a nominal fee of Rs.50/- Parents should encourage their wards to participate in all these, because they are necessary for the total development of the children.
New Session
The new academic session starts from March. The details will be given in the school dairy to the school every day and that will be the medium of communication between parents and teachers.

07:30 am to 12:20 pm – Std. K.G to II & XI, XII
07:30 am to 01:30 pm – Std. III – X.
Winter Session starts from November

08:30 am to 02:20 pm – Std. III – X.
Visiting Hours
Principal : 12:30 pm to 01:30 pm
Office : 10:00 am onwards.
Teacher : KG to Class I at 12:00 noon to 01:30 pm
Subject Teacher : 01:00 pm to 01:30 pm
For other classes the teacher will inform through the dairies. However from 11:10 am to 11:30
am parents meet the teachers if they want.
School P.T. & Winter Uniforms
The parents are advice to buy only branded clothing materials with proper colour shade as prescribed in the prospects.
The children can use PT uniforms according to the House colours PT days, House Day Programs and Sport Day. Children must be in the prescribed uniform from the first day of new session.
BLAZERS are mandatory as part of the winter uniform for all students from Std. V to Std. XII. Decent dresses should be worn by the students when participating in any events in the School.
The school will not provide the uniforms.
Tie & Belt
Tie & Belt should be worn always with the uniforms. Children will be fined for not using them. These are available at the School office.
School Logo
School logo is compulsory in school uniform Shirt/ Blazer.
Identity Card
Every child will be provided with ID card which will be given to each child by the Class Teacher.
Those parents who are taking the children directly will get on ID card to be shown at the gate when they come to get the children. Without the ID card no one is allowed to take the child from the School.
Payment of fees
The fee for the month of April and May should be deposited before 15th April every year and the fees for February and March before 5th February. After 15th of the date Rs. 50/- (Fifty rupees) will be fined.
NOTE: The fee defaulters will be charged a fine of Rs. 50/- per month (1st Month Rs.50/-,
2nd Month Rs.100/-, 3rd Month Rs. 150/-) after 2 months the name of child will
stuck off from register and 1 month tuition fee will be charged as re-admission.
Pay Fees Online:-
To pay fees Online for your ward/s, you don’t have to go bank or to visit the school. You can pay fees online with simple steps using your mobile/laptop/desktop. To pay fees online, follow the below mentioned steps:-
1. Type URL www.davranchi.com, click on left side button Pay Fee Online
2. Enter Admission number of your ward.
3. Select all the boxes for a particular month to pay (For Example- If you want to pay fees for the month of February, select all the boxes containing February)
4. Once the boxes are selected, click on Next.
5. Enter your Name, Email Id & Phone number so that you can get notification once the transaction is successful.
6. After entering the above mentioned fields, click on Pay
7. Select Mode of Payment (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, etc.) & Click on Make Payment.
8. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP& your payment is done.
Online Admission :-
1. Type URL www.davranchi.com, click on left side button Online Admission Form.
Bus Facility and Bus Fees
The School does not guarantee bus facility and it is not the privilege of any child. It is subject to the availability of the seats.
According to the distance, it will be given at the time of registration. The students who once opt for the bus facility will have to pay full year bus fee if they discontinue the bus facility during the session. The fee defaulters will be charged a fine of Rs. 50/- per month (1st Month
Rs.50/-, 2nd Month Rs.100/-, 3rd Month Rs. 150/-)
Bicycle Users
Students studying above VII class are given permission to come to school on bicycle and no child is allowed to use motor cycles or scooty for coming school and if caught will charged fine Rs. 100/-.
Facilities
Digi classrooms are provided through electronic media for a class from nursery to Std. XII units & also a Wi-Fi Campus.
Bagpipe band is being organized in the school. Those who have registered should participate whenever asked for.
A language lab is being installed for English, during this new session.
Medium of Conversation and Communication
Being an English medium school, children should use English for conversation inside the class, compound and also in the buses. Teachers are given permission to charge fines on students who speaks other than English except in the Hindi periods.
Electronic Gadgets and Ornaments
Students are not allowed to use valuable ornaments including wrist watches, gold ornaments of any kind in the school for safety reasons. Cameras or any electronic items shouldn’t be brought to the school. On checking if any items are found, it will not be returned at all. Avoid wearing bangles, rings and bands in the School. Specially mobile phones are not allowed to bring in school campus and if found it will not be returned at all.
Course Books / Exercise Books / Covering Materials
Parents are free to buy books from the open market.
